Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains two textile (?) designs, the first made up of interlacing branches with stylized exotic flowers with pasiley-shaped petaloids, scales, and paisley leaves, and the second made up of frames with thin bundles of stylized flowers, surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves and stylized fleurs de lis, and framed by stripes with scallop-edged lines with branch offsets, on a clear ground with semi-abstract vermicular patterns, and rosettes. The design is executed with black ink on thin, light brown paper.
