This is a porfolio of 7 etchings printed in 1942 under the supervision of Carlos Alvarado Lang (professor of printmaking, Mexico University). The portfolio contains a two-fold brochure with a text about the artist and the prints written by Justino Fernández. 100 portfolios were printed, of which this is number 16. Each print is signed and has a title in pencil lower right of the sheet. The prints are housed in a folder stamped 'Siete aguafuertes de José Arellano Fischer' inside a slightly larger portfolio with the title 'J. Arellano Fischer / Grabados / MCMXLII' and an impression of 'the worker' pasted to the cover.
