Ganesha is depicted standing atop a lotus flower within the sacred syllable Om, understood as the primordial sound representing the highest reality. He holds a bowl of his favorite sweets, laddoos, along with a fan, a small vessel, and in his lower right hand, the sacred beads (rudraksh) associated with his divine father, Shiva.
