Portrait of Mister X

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec French

Not on view

In early 1898, Toulouse-Lautrec experimented with the medium of drypoint for the first time. He made nine portraits of friends using a steel needle on zinc plates. Scholars speculate that this print may portray Arthur Meyer, editor of the newspaper "Le Gaulois."
