Feathered Star pattern quilt with chintz appliques
The main ground of this quilt is dark blue calico pieced into feathered stars. The voids in between the stars are of white cotton fabric that has been appliquéd with a variety of flowers that have been cut from chintzes. The edging is of a second dark blue calico. The piece is decorated with very fine quilting in various grid and arc patterns and is completely hand stitched.
