Letter in Pahlavi script
This pre-Islamic papyrus fragment shows remains of five lines of Pahlavi script. Pahlavi script was used in Egypt only during the Sassanian occupation during the seventh century. Several thousand papyri fragments are known from this period, mostly private letters, such as this one here.
