Este broche es una versión lujosa del que llevaban en los siglos IV y V las mujeres de los territorios germanos orientales que bordean el río Danubio. Sin duda perteneció a una mujer de clase social alta y formó parte de un rico aderezo de joyas de oro-armillas (brazaletes), anillos y collares con colgantes-con el que fue enterrada.
