このブローチは、300–400年代にドナウ川沿いに住んでいた東ゲルマン民族の女性が着用した高級品です。社会的地位の高い女性が埋葬された際に身につけていたと考えられる贅沢な宝飾品群のひとつで、この他に金のお守り、指輪、ペンダントの付いた首輪などが含まれていました。
