Dancer and choreographer Jerron Herman responds to The Roof Garden Commission: Lauren Halsey with LAX, a solo dance work which reimagines movement through the Black disabled body and explores the fine line between modernity and antiquity. Visually impaired textile artist Sugandha Gupta contributes the piece's ornate, sensory-driven costume, which Herman will put into motion against an original soundscape in this celebration of Disability Pride Month at The Met.
