Questa piccola sfinge in faïence blu lucida porta l’iscrizione del nome del re Amenofi III e presenta le tipiche espressioni stilizzate del volto che ricorrono nelle numerose immagini del sovrano. La variante della sfinge con mani umane che regge vasi votivi si ritrova già a partire dagli inizi dell’Antico Regno; numerose raffigurazioni risalenti al Nuovo Regno mostrano un re che offre una piccola figura a sua volta rappresentata nell’atto di offrire.
