Welcome to the brand-new #MetKids blog, a companion to the #MetKids digital feature—made for, with, and by kids—that launches on September 10. So many children visit the Museum each year to discover ancient civilizations, learn about great artists old and new, and gather ideas to create their own artwork. In creating #MetKids, we were inspired by questions that kids like you were bold enough to ask.
In fact, we collected some of the following real questions from kids: How does the Museum take care of all the armor? How did they get all the art into the Museum? What's the story behind mummification? What happens if something breaks? How do they decide what to put up on the walls?

In the spirit of kids' curiosity, we imagined #MetKids to be a destination for questioning, creativity, and, yes indeed, a place to learn about art and the Met. We'll use this blog to connect with amazing kids from around the globe, share ideas, and keep you posted on the latest news and ideas for kids seven to twelve years old on #MetKids. And just like you, we'll keep growing.
