貴族の埋葬品としてエジプト南部で作られたこの生き生きとした男性像は、引き締まった腰、細い胴、筋肉質の腕などから、逞しい運動家を表したものであることがわかります。手と足は特に大きく、典型的な歩くポーズはほとんど好戦的と言ってもよいほどです。細い口髭の下の大きな口は決意で引き締まり、鼻孔の横の深い皺が、ピラミッドの時代にふさわしい個性を与えています。
