供え物を運ぶ女性を描いた古王国の浮彫り彫刻には、特定の墓の葬祭を執り行うよう決まっていた土地の名前が付けられました。頭で食物の入った籠を支え、右手にアヒルを持ったこの名もなき女性像は、豊かな装飾が施されており、現在カイロにある対の彫像とともに、宮殿の管財長、メケトラーの墓のために作られたものでした。宝飾品と羽付きの衣装から、この女性は単なる召使いではなく、死者を守る女神イシスとネフティスに通じる役目を担った、半ば女神のような存在として作られたと考えられます。
