Poster relating to the 32nd anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican Revolution (1910)
Sponsored by the Mexican Communist Party, this print celebrates the thirty-second anniversary of the beginning of the revolution in 1910. Four national heroes appear behind a banner bearing the colors of the Mexican flag. From left to right are former president Francisco Madero, Emiliano Zapata, former president Lázaro Cárdenas, and sitting president Manuel Ávila Camacho (in office 1940–46). The banner is inscribed with Camacho’s words, which draw on the memory of departed heroes and declare Mexico to be united against all adversaries.
