Cock between two men

Elbows Out, the Affecter's colleague, derives his name from his distinctive stylistic idiosyncrasy. Cocks were popular gifts between men. Cockfighting, moreover, was an established pastime in the sixth century B.C. Athens. One can well imagine this lekythos being used in the gymnasium.
