这件精美的大圆盘曾属于一整套餐具，是献给阿拉贡的碧翠丝的礼物，她是匈牙利君主马加什一世（1458 – 90年在位）的第二任妻子；马加什和阿拉贡王室的盾徽装饰着圆盘的边缘。这套餐具很可能是阿拉贡的卡米拉委托制作的，她与碧翠丝是亲戚关系。制作地点则在佩萨罗，卡米拉于1475年嫁给科斯坦佐后移居到那里。圆盘中央华美的绘画和制作精巧的装饰边缘使这件作品成为最重要的十五世纪花饰陶器之一。
