这种形状优美的骑士盾牌名叫“塔格”,曾经用于比武大赛或用作哥特晚期的德国轻骑兵装备。这件盾牌上有精心绘制的盾徽,可能属于法兰克尼亚的哥兹曼家族。盾徽一侧的女性人物握着飘带,上面刻有格言:HAB MYCH ALS ICH BIN(迎接真实的自我)。盾徽装饰以银箔为底,上面有鲜艳的图案,由于几个世纪以来都隐藏在后来涂抹的数层颜料之下,所以仍保存得非常完好。盾牌背面的皮革衬里上绘有圣克里斯托弗小像,意在为持盾牌的人提供精神保护。
