巨人

这幅稀有的版画描绘了一位神秘巨人坐在地球边缘，它是戈雅最令人不安又难忘的作品之一。这位凄凉无助的怪物越过肩头看向夜空，照亮夜空的只有月亮那最惨白的银光，这图景既引人怜悯又让人恐惧。戈雅采用了一种与镂刻铜版术类似的雕刻法，在事先用颗粒状的色彩弄得粗糙的金属版上刮出高亮，其结果就是一种不祥的黑色图像，类似于年老的戈雅在他位于马德里附近的房屋墙壁上作的  “黑色画”。
