娜妮是阿蒙神的仪式歌手，也是一位国王的女儿——她父亲要么是一位自封的底比斯大祭司，要么就是位于尼罗河三角洲的塔尼斯的国王——在娜妮的莎草纸《亡灵书》的这个片断中，她站立在一杆大天平旁边，天平的一端放着她的心脏，另一端放着玛特像（真理和正义女神）。娜妮左边有伊西斯相伴。长有胡狼头的防腐之神阿努比斯正在调整天平刻度，冥界之神奥西里斯主持一切。这里亟待评断的是娜妮在世上的所作所为。结果是可喜的，阿努比斯宣布：“她的心是正义的。”奥西里斯也对此表示肯定。
