«Along with visiting new museums featuring contemporary art in Doha and Abu Dhabi, this trip was timed to coincide with Art Dubai and the Sharjah Biennial. Throughout our trip, we questioned our history, our identity, and what was happening around us.»

Some of my favorite discoveries include Subodh Gupta's Et Tu, Duchamp? (a reworking of L.H.O.O.Q, Marcel Duchamp's take on da Vinci's Mona Lisa), Ghada Amer's quietly unsettling deconstruction of terrorism, and Faig Ahmed's rethinking of an Islamic carpet.
