Not on view

This print is from a series of landscapes, which was dedicated to Ferdinando II de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany. The series was neither seen nor numbered by Bartsch but he cites Carl Heinrich von Heinecken's entry on Ercole Bazzicaluve in the 'Dictonnaire des Artistes' (1778) . According to von Heinecken, the series comprises twelve plates, but Bellini and Carter Leach in The Illustrated Bartsch (vol.44) were only able to locate nine plates.
