Plate 5 of a series of designs for doors and mantel pieces. This design presents a door, surmounted by an oval medallion containing a bust of a bearded man. Over the medallion is a crown held there by two winged putti. Behind them is a drapery and on either side of the medallion are vessels supporting garlands. Over this is a lined architrave, a laurel garlanded frieze and a cornice. This entablature is placed over two pilasters, the plinths of which are decorated with shields.
