Plate 50, View with a three-sided (candelabrum?) base or altar with a winged and caped figure at center. The corners of the tripod are decorated with rams-head's at top and sphinxes at bottom, with a band of scrolling tendrils along the base. A fluted column is visible behind the statue at left. Below this plate is an unnumbered image titled "Fragmens Antiques," with architectural and sculptural fragents in an exterior setting. These two images appear facing page 84, which contains the section of text describing the three-sided base. The text identifies the sculpture as the altar or tripod of Apollo and the figures at the center of each side as genii.
