Plate 16, Cross-section of Columbarium of Livia, discovered along the Via Appia in 1726 and now destroyed. A figure is seen under a doorway to the right of center. Below this plate is plate 17, the third and final view of a cross-section of the Columbarium. Unlike most pages of images in this volume, this one contains two plates, rather than a numbered plate at top with an unnumbered image below. These two images appear after page 16, which contains a portion of the chapter describing the Columbarium of Livia.
