This print represents Alexander the Great putting the poems of Homer in the tomb of Achilles, surrounded by a crowd of soldiers wearing helmets and cuirasses, and in the company of heroes (half-) dressed in classical robes. This is an inverted copy of a print by Marcantonio Raimondi.
