Terracotta head of a man

Cypriot

Not on view

The manufacture of large scale hollow terracotta sculpture on Cyprus began in the mid-seventh century B.C. This is one of the finest examples of the "Neo-Cypriot" style, characterized by fine features, large ridged eyes, feathered eyebrows, and a lot of color.
