Two Swords

Tibetan

Not on view

Swords of this type were made in Tibet in the 20th century to be worn with traditional clothing at various festivals. These two show the extensive use of embossed and engraved silver typical of the type and were prabably made between about 1950 and 1975. The blades are crudely fabricated from modern steel, engraved with pseudo inscriptions.
