가구 받침대
상아로 만든 이 스핑크스는 가구를 받쳐주는 네 개의 작은 받침대 중 하나입니다.
스핑크스의 몸은 사자의 형상이며 나선형의 머리 모양은 이집트 하토르 여신으로부터 유래하였습니다. 아나톨리아 미술에 나타나는 이집트적 특징과 모티프는 기원전 2000년대 초반 문화교류의 증거를 보여줍니다. 이러한 가구 받침대는 이 시기 북부 메소포타미아의 아시리아 상인들이 세운 상업 식민지 중 한 곳에서 사용되었을 것입니다.
