Esta esfinge de marfim é um dos quatro pés de um móvel pequeno. O corpo da esfinge tem forma de leão e os cachos de sua juba são derivados da deusa egípcia Hathor. A aparência de características e temas egípcios nas artes de Anatólia é evidência das interações culturais do início do segundo milênio a.C. Acredita-se que estes pés de móvel são provenientes de uma das colônias comerciais de Anatólia central, estabelecidas durante este período por comerciantes assírios procedentes da Mesopotâmia setentrional.
