St. Matthew with an Angel and Book
Bartolozzi etched this image soon after he moved to England in 1764, as part of a group based on Guercino drawings owned by George III. The present impression was reissued by John and Josiah Boydell, after they acquired the plate from Richard Dalton in 1791-92.
