Not on view

Armenian catholicoses, bishops, and priests wear the vakas on the back of their neck to represent the lost sheep whom Christ seeks to save. On this vakas, the Virgin and Saint John the Baptist flank Christ to form a Deesis at the center. To the left of the Virgin are Saint Peter and the evangelists Saints Matthew and Mark. Saint Paul and the evangelists Saints Luke and John are to the right of Saint John the Baptist.
