Große Räuchergefäße aus Keramik – Behältnisse für Kopalharz und Weihrauch – gehören zu den komplexesten Skulpturen, die von den alten Maya in Südmexiko und im angrenzenden Guatemala aus gebranntem Ton hergestellt wurden. Dieses Räuchergefäß, das aus zwei Teilen gefertigt wurde, trägt vermutlich das Abbild eines in majestätischer Pose sitzenden Mayakönigs. Er trägt großen Kopf- und Ohrschmuck und hält eine Opferschale.
