Dieses raffinierte Werk der Töpferkunst mit seiner gravierten und durchstochenen Außenhülle um ein massives inneres Behältnis ahmt ein Metallobjekt nach. Das Lochmuster – mit Harpyen (sagenhaften Vogelfrauen), Sphingen, Vierbeinern (vierbeinigen Säugetieren) und Schriftrollen – wurde zuerst mit Schwarz und Kobaltblau gemalt. Danach wurde der gesamte Krug mit einer transparenten türkisen Glasur bedeckt. Die persischen Verse um den Rand stammen von dem Dichter Rukn al-Din Qummi und ein anonymes Liebesgedicht in der Nähe des Fußes enthält das Herstellungsdatum.
