The artist Guercino is shown at work painting of Cupid restraining a hunting dog by its collar. The print belongs to a group based on drawings in the British Royal Collection, re-published by Boydell in the 1790s as "'Eighty-two prints, engraved by F. Bartolozzi &c. from the original drawings of Guercino, in the collection of his Majesty".
