«This spring, the Met Museum Presents Ticket Sweepstakes series is giving away tickets to upcoming performances and talks on the Museum's Facebook page. Every Tuesday through June 3 (with the exception of April 22 and May 5), a new event will be featured in the sweepstakes.»
This week's sweepstakes prize is a pair of tickets to Sculpting Sound, a performance by mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, alongside bass-baritone Evan Hughes and soprano Layla Claire, that will feature music of Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux's friends and collaborators Charles Gounod, Georges Bizet, and others. This performance is held in conjunction with the exhibition The Passions of Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, on view through May 26.
Upcoming giveaways include: tickets to the talks Spark: It's About Time and Journeys to Divinity; Artist in Residence Alarm Will Sound's final performance of the season, I Was Here I Was I, a site-specific program written for the Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing; and the opera Gloria—A Pig Tale—an exciting new production presented as part of the New York Philharmonic's inaugural NY Phil Biennial.
