Arm Reliquary of Saint Sahak Partev

This right-arm reliquary, made by silversmiths in Van, houses a relic of Saint Sahak Partev, catholicos of Armenia (r. 387–439), visible under glass at the base. The saint, the last male descendant of Saint Gregory the Illuminator, encouraged the development of the Armenian alphabet. The identification of the reliquary has recently been confirmed by the discovery of the adjacent photo of it when it was at the monastery of Lim.
