This small hymnal, or sharaknots‘, contains hymns to be chanted and performed on prescribed feast days. The illumination depicts the Presentation of Christ in the temple. Mary hands Christ to Simeon across the altar, and behind Mary stands Joseph, holding a pair of doves. This manuscript is attributed to the prolific artist Karapet of Berkri.
