Centerpiece
This centerpiece, consisting of a double candelabrum supporting a fluted glass bowl, came from the Van Rensselaer mansion in Albany. The references to fruit and wine, such as the scrolling grapevines and the putti holding up wineglasses at the base, suggest its intended use in the center of a dining room table during the fruit course of an elaborate dinner.
