バーラム・グールと青い天蓋の王妃 アミール・クーサウ・ディーラヴィのカームサからのフォリオ
ペルシアの詩人ナザミがカームサ(五行詩)を書いた約1 世紀後に、インドの詩人アミー ル・クーサウ・ディーラヴィは物語の内容を若干変える返歌を書きました。このフォリオは、ムガル帝国のアクバル皇帝(在位1550–1605 年)のために書かれた、この詩の挿絵入り写本のなかの1枚です。ムハマド・フセイン・ザリン・カラムによる正確な書と、金箔の縁飾り、彩飾、そしてサファヴィー朝ペルシアとヨーロッパの様式の影響を受けた絵に、この写本の贅沢さが表れています。マノハールによって描かれたこのページは、王妃がバーラム・グール王に、毎夜庭園で妖精の女王と会うことを想像する若者の物語を語っているところが描写されています。
