ヘネトタウィの棺

アムン・ラー神の儀式で歌い手を務めたヘネトタウィは 20 代始めに亡くなり、彼女の棺は、使用済みの装飾のない穴蔵に埋葬されました。壁画はなかったものの、棺はそれを補うに余りある色鮮やかな装飾が施されました。最も外側の見事な棺に描かれた図柄は、白い麻布が巻かれたミイラが埋葬用の面具を顔に当て、魔よけの宝飾品を身に着けている姿を思わせます。側面と下半身には、オシリス神を崇めるヘネトタウィやその下には守護神の姿が小さな場面に描かれ、ヒエログリフをともなう黄色（金色）の帯で囲まれています。足の部分は女神イシスとネフティスが哀悼の身振りをしています。これらは、おそらくヘネトタウィの頭部のマスクから見ることができるように、上下逆さまに描かれています。
