이 컴벌랜드 갑옷은 최상의 상태로 보존되었으며 그리니치 지역 왕실 공방의 가장 장엄한 갑옷으로 공방의 장식과 기술의 최정점을 보여주고 있습니다. 전장과 시합에 사용하도록 고안된 이 갑옷은 거장 제이콥 해들러의 지휘 아래 제작되었습니다. 이 갑옷은 부품을 강화하거나 조금씩 바꾼 남성용 갑옷과(27kg 정도) 투구 및 안장으로 구성된 말의 갑옷으로 구성되어 있습니다. 조지 클리퍼드는 엘리자베스1세 여왕이 총애하였으며 1590년 여왕의 전사로 임명되었습니다. 그가 착용하던 갑옷에는 튜더가의 장미와 백합문장, 여왕의 암호(두 개의 E가 연이어 장식)가 장식되어 있습니다.
