아마투스 석관
아마투스 석관은 아마투스 왕의 관이 틀림없으며 메트로폴리탄 박물관의 풍부한 키프로스 소장품 중 가장 중요한 유물입니다. 표면 색채의 보존상태가 놀랍습니다. 관의 이미지는 왕의 권위와 기원전 5세기 당시 다양한 문화 속에 존재했던 여러 신에 대한 신앙심을 표현합니다. 관의 긴 측면에는 말을 탄 하인들이 전차 행렬을 호위하는 가운데 그 뒤로 보병들이 따르는 장면이 묘사되어 있습니다. 명예로운 주인공은 파라솔 밑에 있습니다. 짧은 면에는 근동의 여신 아스타르테와 이집트의 베스 신이 묘사되어 있는데, 이들은 모두 풍요의 신들입니다.
