로마 시대 이전 이탈리아에서 출토된 전차 중 가장 보존 상태가 좋은 몬텔레오네 전차는 최신 연구에 기초하여 다시 조립되었습니다. 이 전차는 전투용이 아닌 의식용이며, 아마투스 석관에 표현된 전차와 유사한 용도로 사용되었으며 주요 인사와 전차 운전자가 탔을 것입니다. 에트루리아인들은 당시 뛰어난 금속공예 기술로 유명하였습니다. 이 전차는 그리스의 영웅 아킬레스의 일생을 묘사한 장면뿐 아니라 맹금류 등 추가모티프로 장식되었는데, 이는 전차 소유자의권력과 부를 나타냅니다.
