바쿠스 축제와 포도주통
르네상스의 거장 안드레아 만테냐는 뛰어난 구도의 판화를 제작하였습니다. 만테냐가 1470년대에 제작한 프리즈 조각풍의 바쿠스 축제와 포도주통은 짝을 이루는 작품인바쿠스 축제와 실레노스와 함께 로마의 석관 구도에서 착안하였습니다. 사선, 지그재그 및 교차 해칭으로 묘사한 바쿠스 축제와 포도주통은 그때까지 이탈리아 판화에서 볼 수 없었던 중후한 음영 효과를 보여 줍니다. 다양하게 폭과 깊이의 변화를 표현하는 이러한 음영기법과 세련된 윤곽선은 당시의 펜화 기법을 만테냐가 능숙하게 반영했음을 알 수 있습니다.
