취죽쌍금도

휘종은 송 왕조의 제8대 황제였으며 역대 송의황제 중 가장 예술적인 업적을 많이 남겼습니다. 취죽쌍금도는 휘종의 화원에서 다루었던 화조화의 사실적인 양식의 실례를 보여줍니다. 그러나 휘종은 자연을 모사하든 시를 한 줄 표현하든지 간에 사실적인 재현보다는 주제에 담긴 혼을 포착하는 것을 중요시하였습니다. 이 그림에서 세밀한 관찰을 통해 묘사된 되새는 실제살아있는 새의 생명감이 깃들어 있습니다. 새의 눈을 살아있는 것처럼 표현하기 위해 몇 방울의 옻칠을 첨가하여 마감하였습니다.
