높은 서랍장
스탠드 위의 상단 이동 서랍장 또는 높은 서랍장(영국식 스탠드 위에 놓인 납작한 윗면의 서랍장과부러진 페디먼트의 조합)은 가장 야심적이고독특하게 미국적인 식민지 가구의 형상입니다.1730년경에 이 형상이 소개된 보스턴에서 초기 견본품 중에서도 가장 값비싼 것은 아시아칠기를 모방하여 옻칠되거나 칠해진 것입니다. 일치하는 화장대 및 거울과 함께 유일하게 보전된 이 예는 중국 양식의 주제(환상적인 형상과 정원 건물)가 금색으로 표현된 전체적인 대모갑 같은 배경으로 칠해졌습니다. 이 서랍장은 매사추세츠 세일럼 상인 벤저민 픽맨을 위해 제작되었으며 뉴잉글랜드의 국제적인 고상함의 전형입니다.
