多屉高柜
这种带底座的卷顶柜也称多屉高柜，它们将英式带底座的平顶柜与断开的山墙饰相结合，是最具野心、最有美国风格的一种殖民时期家具形式。波士顿约于1730年引进这种家具，当时最昂贵的早期家具往往涂有亮漆或漆饰，意在模仿亚洲漆器。这件作品的独特之处在于与其配套的梳妆台和镜子都完好无损地保存了下来。整件作品涂覆有一层玳瑁色的底漆，其上描金勾勒出中国艺术风格的图案，包括想象中的人物和花园建筑。这件家具是为本杰明·皮克曼制作的，他是马萨诸塞州萨勒姆镇的一名商人，也是新英格兰殖民时期都会优雅风范的代表人物。
