모스크에서 가장 중요한 요소는 이슬람교도가 기도를 할 때 아라비아 반도에 있는 이슬람교의 신성한 순례지인 메카 쪽을 향하도록 배치된 미흐라브입니다. 이스파한의 마드라사 이마미 모스크의 미흐라브는 다양한 패턴과 명문을 표현하는 작은 채유 타일 모자이크로 구성되어 있습니다. 바깥쪽 테두리를 따라 이슬람교 성전인 코란의 인용구가 하단부의 오른쪽부터 왼쪽까지 기록되어 있습니다. 두 번째 명문은 쿠픽체로 예언자의 명언이 감실의 첨두 아치 테두리에 적혀 있고, 세 번째 명문은 필기체로 감실의 중앙 프레임에 적혀 있습니다. 이 미흐라브는 현존하는 모자이크 타일 작품 중 가장 오래된 작품이자 가장 뛰어난 작품 중 하나입니다.
