이 십자가의 양면에는 백 명에 가까운 인물의 초상과 동수의 명문이 정교하게 조각되어 있습니다. 복잡한 구성, 구체적인 명문, 일부 인물들의 복장을 통해 이 십자가는 수도원을 위해 제작되었음을 알 수 있습니다. 전면의 여러 사각판에 묘사된 장면은 최상부의 그리스도 승천으로 절정에 이릅니다. 후면에 묘사된 선지자들은 자신들의 발언을 적은 두루마리를 들고 있는데 십자가 책형을 예언하는 것으로 생각합니다. 다른 명문은 기독교와 유대교 사이의 신학적인 논쟁을 반영합니다. 이 십자가가 논쟁 또는 비난을 의도했는지는 차치하더라도 12세기에 나타나기 시작한 반 유대주의 풍조를 반영하고 있습니다.
