시타토류네트 공주의 흉부장식
이집트의 보석류 제작은 중왕국 시대에 최고조에 달했으며, 세누스레트 2세 재위기에 제작된 이 흉부 장식은 당대 가장 뛰어난 걸작 중 하나입니다. 375개의 반보석을 금 칠보에 상감한 다색 문장 구성의 양 옆에 쉔(통치권) 표지를 잡고 있는 두 마리의 태양 매가 있습니다. 이 두 마리의 매와 매의 머리 위 코브라의 꼬리에 매달린 두 개의 앙크(생명) 상형문자 사이에 세누스레트 2세의 이름이 보입니다. 그 밑에 영원의 신 헤는 종려나무가지(“년”를 나타내는 상형문자)를 잡고 있으며 그의 팔꿈치에 걸린 줄에는 올챙이(“10만”을 나타내는 상형문자)가 매달려 있습니다.
